attempt at a transmuteing guide:WARNING PICTURE HEAVY:

first this is cheap(RL cash cheap i mean) transmuteing, every thing used can be obtianed with phrixus tokens (transmuter charges) it is considered "dirty transmuteing" because rather then 6 stats we want we only get 3 stats.
reason is in runes of magic an item can only have 6 total stats, and when you make something if it has more then 6 stats it loses the best stats until only 6 stats remian. (block of text many pictures and poor spelling and punctuation ahead i hope this helps clarify trqansmuteing a little)

we start off buying our fusion stones. it is honestly the cheapest and easiest to buy them from the auction house rather then rolling the dice on them at the fusion stone venders (i will take a picture showing his location later for you to see however)

so i bought my 3 fusion stones from the AH(auction house) i make sure they all have the same stats (there are 2 stat and 3 stat fusion stones, i went with 3 stat due to price, 2 stat is better as you get 4 stats you want)

i find my item i want to mod, and i find items stats that i want. here i wanted the stam X and stam VII

above you see the set of armor on the left has a single Stam X mod on it this is what i want for one of my stats

now if you recall my cruelty has a stat on it already "Energy V" so that is 1 less stat i can work with sicne im useing 3 stat stones and my ring already has 1 stat that means i need to make a "blank" stone as ill post next(remeber we can only have 6 stats)

ok a quick explanation of what im showing here it is the 3 mana stones ive made. if i were to combine them they would make this Tier 4 stone shown(every thing i made was Tier 3 it is decided by the armor you make the mana stone from T2 armor makes T2 stones) but i dont want to "Tier up" i just want these stats, so i add teh ring and get this (below)

(its the cruelty its abit of a pain to show with the "current equipment" pane showing constnalty but i hope this has helped.

also- DO NOT make mana stones and such until 40++ the longer you wait the better it is, the more stats you get from quest rewards and the less fustraion you deal with of "didnt i just upgrade?"
your mana stones must be of the same tier, you cant mix t2 and t3 stones 3 t2's or 3 t3's
anything else.. er ask and ill try to clarify.


on the cruely the crit bonus is from it being +2 it does not count as a stat, stats have names listed for them
ex Stam X. Int IX etc.

All that and guess what???? Yes, I'm still lost but I do have some idea of what you're talking about, lets see....by stat, you mean the name of the extra....ie like stamina or int ect, right? the transmuting is just a way of adding it to a piece of current or desired armor or weapon, now if that is correct, can you remove stats from a piece of armor/weapon to gain a stone to put onto another armor/weapon? or do u have to buy something to add these mana stones to and do these mana stones drop from mobs or can you only get them from npc/quests/ or auction house?
P.S. thanks for all your work on that explaination, even though I still don't get it and I'm sure if I ever need to do it I'll have it done by you and bug the shit outa ya.

ok the first part is about makeing teh mana stones, which is takeing astat off of a piece of gear and makeing it a mana stone, you only really want 1 stat on the mana stones when working dirty (yes thy ahve 4 stats in auctaulity b./c their dirty, but only 1 we want) its a pain in the ass as you can see

ok so there is a use for that other then storage, LOL I have been using is as a extra bag to store my stuff in

OK, i thought the item you put in the transmuter gets destroyed when u transmute.

So, if you put the mana stones you made in with your ring, that will put the stats on the ring? where if you put the fusion stones in there, it will destroy it?

Curiosity and i had to just play with the transmuter, so i put 5 tier I magic attack runes into it and got a tier II magic attack stone. That I understand, the just making one level up rune from 5 stones.

I was eager to try to make one mana stone, so i did buy a fusion baby stonefrom the npc; i got +3 Wisdom and the random other 2, which ended up to be dex and str, or some other crap. So, now, if i wanted to actually make something from that, i would need to find an object with Wisdom, dex, and str? and 3 other mana stones with the same stats?

Are production runes used with transmuting? or only crafting at levels higher than i am...... i see some things listed in the higher lvl recipes that i have learned.

um let me think.. (been haveing comp issues and now dont have runes on this machine from havieng to reinstall winblows but i think il lreadd it this week) ideally youd want to get fusion stones that all have matching stats , say dex+2 and wis +2 and well most stones wil be 3 stat so well say wind resist so you have
1 fusion stone with
dex2
wis2
wind resi 5


now you put an item with the stat you want in( to break it youre geting hte stat off it_ lets say it has.. int+35 on it but nothing else



the mana stone you get would be

dex2
wis2
wind resi 5
int 35


now you need 3 mana stones, AND you can only have a total of 6 stats per piece of gear. so from that one mana stone we now have 4 stats.

soo what wed do is try to get matching fusion stones as that the dex/wis/wind resist over lap

like if you have 2 stone and each have +2 dex rathe rhten +2 dex/+2 dex or +4 dex when you combine them they only count as +2 dex total so only take 1 stat spot up.
its a sorta complext process. ill re look over hte 'guide' taht i posted for info and see if i can sort out a little bit clearer. but key things is fusion stones break gear, mana stones add to gear, fusion stones make mana stones, and only 6 total stats per piece of gear if you try to get more then 6 you start loseing stats from the best down to the worst (so the more stats you have the worse the gear woudl come out)
